Birth is a transformative time. It includes moments of strength, surrender, vulnerability, beauty, joy, and everything in between. It’s the beginning of your child’s story - one of the most important moments of your life. Families hire photographers for holidays and weddings, why wouldn’t a moment as special as this one be captured and remembered? This is the way I felt when I got pregnant with my first in 2017! And it is with such joy and gratitude that I now get to offer my birth photography services to the San Antonio area.

The Birth Photography Experience

Birth is beautifully unpredictable. That's why my role begins long before labor and extends beyond the moment your baby is born. From the day you book until your gallery is delivered, I'm committed to documenting your story with care, professionalism, and deep respect for your birth experience.

  • We'll begin with a consultation to get to know one another and discuss your hopes for your birth experience. I'll learn about your birth preferences, care team, photography priorities, and any meaningful moments you especially want remembered. Beginning at 38 weeks, I remain on call 24/7 until your baby arrives, ready to meet you at your chosen birth location whenever active labor begins.

  • My approach is quiet and intuitive. I don't direct or interrupt your labor. Instead, I preserve the moments that often become the most treasured memories—the reassuring squeeze of a hand, encouraging words from your partner, your strength through each contraction, the support of your care team, and the anticipation before meeting your baby.

    As both a birth photographer and doula, I understand the rhythm of labor and know when to quietly step back and when to anticipate meaningful moments. My goal is for you to remain fully present while I preserve your story.

  • Your baby's first breath, first cry, first embrace, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, skin-to-skin contact, first feeding, sibling introductions, and the overwhelming joy filling the room are moments that pass in an instant. These are the memories I carefully document so you can revisit them for years to come. I typically stay 1-2 hours after the birth, once newborn exams are done and you’re tucked into bed ready for privacy.

  • Following your birth, every image is selected and professionally edited to reflect the beauty and emotion of your experience. You'll receive a carefully curated online gallery filled with timeless images that tell the complete story of your baby's arrival. You'll also receive a small collection of preview images, typically within 24 hours, so you can begin reliving and sharing your birth story while the memories are still fresh.
